An exciting finish to the inaugural EBFL regular season, as playoff matches weren’t decided until the final whistle blew in the Jets/Fins game on Monday night. The Rashad Jones pick to seal the Miami win, also gave the Chalupas the highest score on the week and the best record in the league at 12-1. Unfortunately for them, they’re the 4th seed, thanks to a low scoring squad. The Nagintas end up winning the Senor Crabs division despite the loss in the highest scoring game in EBFL history. The Taco Corp division came down to the wire as well, with the Rexes beating the Ballers and being in a higher VP tier, to earn their first banner for the trophy case. You’ll have to forgive the league for not giving them the banner until scores are finalized for the week though, as only 1.6 points separate the Ballers from the Stache for 8th in scoring on the week. Will we have a potential league changing scoring revision? Tune in later in the week to find out!
Matchups
9-4 Rex in the City (177.06) – 9-4 Knuckle Ballers (158.96)
In the game to decide the Taco Corp division, the Rexes did their job, and lucked out with the Ballers just missing the 2nd scoring tier to pull into a tie with the Ballers, and win out on the tie-break (Division Record was next after VP and Winning Percentage). The Ballers would have earned the title and the #2 seed with another 1.61 points, as they would have passed the Stache into 8th on the week. Although, if I was the Rexes, I wouldn’t get too comfortable, as this is well within the revision zone, so he best be checking in on Thursday to see if any scores have changed.
2-10 Endzone Dancers (199.74) – 9-3 What Does John Fox Say? (150.20)
The Dancers waltzed around WDJFS on their way to a 49 point win, which drops them huge in the draft order. They were sitting pretty in the #1 spot heading into the weekend, but with 4 points here, plus their 3 point penalty for an illegal line up in Week 12, they drop to the #3 spot. Let this be a lesson to set your line ups.
12-1 Chalupa Batman (225.48) – 10-3 Deadly Nagintas (223.18)
The Chalupas pull out the last minute win with a Rashad Jones pick to jump the Nagintas for the high score on the week. Unfortunately for the Chalupas, their playoff spot was already sealed once the Nagintas were guaranteed a top 4 score. The Nagintas take the Senor Crabs division and head into the playoffs as the number 1 seed, with a first round Bye. They’ll face the lowest remaining seed in the semis, which could very well be the Chalupas for a 3rd match up.
4-9 Loose Bandits (182.76) – 4-9 Fear Boners (119.66)
The Bandits rub out the Boners to match them with 4 wins on the season, and head into the consolation round trying to earn the bonus pick. Big games by the Bandits cornerstones (Bell and Jeffery) led the way. The Bandits now face the Stache in Week 14. The Boners look to give the Snappers their fill in their consolation round match up.
5-8 Tom Selleck’s Moustache (160.56) – 3-10 Long Snappers (155.20)
This match up came down to the Monday night game as well, and the Stache got enough from Lamar Miller to knock off the Snappers and finish in the 7th spot. The Stache have come on strong in the 2nd half, and if not for a horrible start, could have made things interesting this week for both the Bananas and WDJFS. Both of these teams will have Week 14 match ups in the consolation round. The Stache should have the best shot at the bonus pick as they’re easily the highest scoring team of those remaining.
8-5 San Juan Bananas (209.66) – 2-11 Greg Schiano is an Idiot (174.84)
The Bananas coast into the playoffs with a thorough beating of the Idiots, and will host WDJFS in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. They did manage to pull ahead of them in the standings, so they actually look like they may belong now. The Schianos head into the consolation round with a Bye, due to them being the 2nd worst team in the league this year. Maybe it’s a TD thing, as them and the Dancers finished bottom 2.
Week 13 Awards
Offensive Player of the Week
DeAndre Hopkins (Deadly Nagintas) – Several big scores this week, but none topped Hopkins 238 yards and 2 scores on 9 catches.

D’Qwell Jackson (Endzone Dancers) – Jackson picked up the most points of anyone on defense this week, with 7 tackles, a pass defended, a couple tackles for loss and a fumble recovery TD.

Andre Ellington & Delanie Walker (Knuckle Ballers) – A combined 2.3 points from this pair cost the Ballers the division title and a first round Bye.
Pickup of the Week
Ryan Mundy (What Does John Fox Say) – Mundy had a solid game for a safety on Thursday with 11 tackles and 1 assist against the Lions.
Bench Player of the Week

Bonehead Coaching Move of the Week
