The trade deadline has come and gone in the EBFL and it was a relatively quiet one with only a few deals. The Rexes picked up some RB depth, the Bananas picked up some defensive improvements and a back up QB, and in the biggest move of the week, the Nagintas dealt a butt load of picks and Michael Floyd for AJ Green about an hour before the deadline. It will be interesting to see how these moves end up shaping the playoff picture and ultimately how the playoffs play out.
While the trade deadline was the big news of the week, we also saw a handful of injuries with the potential to change the playoff landscape. The Ballers lost Emmanuel Sanders, while the Rexes lost Julius Thomas, both of which could make life a little more difficult for Peyton Manning going forward. The Yobagoya leading Bananas also lost a pair of players, as Bradshaw and Cooks were both injured this weekend, and should be out for the remainder of the season.
Projected Seeds (if playoffs started today)
- Deadly Nagintas
- Knuckle Ballers
- San Juan Bananas
- Chalupa Batman
- Rex in the City

Matchups
3-8 Tom Selleck’s Moustache (155.30) – 2-9 Endzone Dancers (134.94)
The Stache pick up their 3rd win of the season, knocking off the Dancers, who did manage to submit a full line up this week. Unfortunately for the Dancers, they continue to lose the game of Tight End Roulette as they left a pile of points on the bench, which may have earned them the win. The newest member of their squad turned in a decent performance, as Michael Floyd put up his best game of the season in a Cards win. The Stache look like they’re going to end up as the best of the rest, which makes sense as they didn’t sell off players once they were out of contention as some others did.
9-2 What Does John Fox Say? (136.44) – 3-8 Long Snappers (99.58)
WDJFS continues to take advantage of the league’s easiest schedule to cruise to their 9th win. They still sit in 3rd in their division and the #6 seed, but have a huge opportunity to change that in Week 12 facing the Ballers. They finish off with the Dancers, so they could still work their way to the top of the division. The Snappers break the record for the leagues lowest score, while being jumped in the standings, and improving the draft stock of the Bandits. They’re also currently in line for a date with the Sacko Bowl.
9-2 Deadly Nagintas (186.22) – 7-4 Rex in the City (155.22)
The Nagintas gave up a pile of futures to acquire AJ Green this week, and he didn’t disappoint, putting up his best game of his injury plagued season. With the win and the high score on the week, the Nagintas reclaim the #1 seed in the playoff picture. The Rexes had a rough week (understatement right there), but at least came away with a VP to keep them out of the #6 seed. They get their Dallas studs back, and it sounds like Thomas should be back this weekend, so they’ll be fully loaded for their final division matchups.
10-1 Chalupa Batman (133.76) – 8-3 Knuckle Ballers (132.36)
The Chalupas get to double digits in wins, with a Monday night squeaker against the Ballers. Antonio Brown did just enough for the Chalupas to pull out the victory. Unfortunately for the Chalupas, they drop 2 points to the Nagintas in the division race, making that Week 13 matchup all important. This was not a good time for the Ballers to lose. Fighting for their own division crown, and having the 2 teams chasing them pick up points on them. The final couple weeks are huge in the Taco Corp race as the Ballers have both WDJFS and the Rexes to close out the season.
7-4 San Juan Bananas (183.40) – 4-7 Fear Boners (118.66)
The Bananas gave the Boners a bruising of their own, which officially punches their playoff ticket. They’ve officially settled into the #3 seed, as the Taco Corp top teams play a round robin basically, and one of the Chalupas and Nagintas should be able to pick up the points needed to stay ahead of them. The Boners down week puts them in contention to go to the Sacko Bowl as well. They’re currently in a tie with the Snappers, but currently sit outside based on their extra win. The Week 13 matchup against the Bandits could decide who has a shot at being the worst team this season.
3-8 Loose Bandits (179.34) – 1-10 Greg Schiano is an Idiot (164.66)
What a time for these teams to show some life. The Bandits put up their highest score of the season, grabbing their 2nd straight win (a streak!) and earning 4 VP and moving up to 10th overall. Can they play spoiler down the stretch? The Idiots managed to score in the top 4 for the first time since week 1, but came away with the loss, thanks to a huge monday night performance by LeVeon Bell. The Idiots now sit 1 point behind the Bandits in the overall standings, and should be in contention for the Sacko.
Week 11 Awards
Offensive Player of the Week
Mike Evans (Deadly Nagintas) – Evans went for over 200 yards and 2 scores on only 7 receptions, picking up his 3rd straight week of 20+ point performances.
Defensive Player of the Week
Chris Borland (Chalupa Batman) – Borland goes back to back with another great performance, including 2 picks and a pair of tackles for loss.
Rookie of the Week
Mike Evans (Deadly Nagintas) – Evans put himself squarely in the Rookie of the Year discussion with this record breaking game. He now has 5TD’s over the last 3 outings.
Goat of the Week
Ben Tate (Knuckle Ballers) – When you lose by 1.4 points, a negative score hurts that much more. Tate may have cost the Ballers a 1st round Bye in the playoffs with this dud. Any of the other backs on the Ballers roster would have gotten them the win.
Pickup of the Week
Pacman Jones (What Does John Fox Say) – There were several middling performances by pick ups this week. Jones picked up the most points, so he gets the nod.
Bench Player of the Week
Jonas Gray (San Juan Bananas) – Gray was a machine this week, piling up almost 200 yards to go with 4 touchdowns. If only you could trust a Belichick back.
Bonehead Coaching Move of the Week
Scott McKay (Endzone Dancers) – What, you didn’t see a monster performance for Kenny Britt coming? In a week where there weren’t many questionable calls, I’ll give it to Scootie who left the most points on his bench.
